You'll be working primarily on large, one-off or small-batch items, not high-volume production work. The role includes both workshop machining and on-site maintenance and breakdown support.
- Manual machining using lathes and mills
- Calculating and applying correct speeds and feeds
- Maintenance, repair, and breakdown work
- On-site work following instructions and solving problems independently
- Working with bearings, fits, tolerances, and general mechanical assemblies
- Occasional work at height and in confined spaces
- Participation in overtime and weekend breakdown coverage
