Furniture Upholstery

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Furniture Upholsterer to join a skilled manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role focused on upholstering commercial furniture to a high standard, working with a range of materials. You will be involved in the full upholstery process, from preparation through to final finishing, ensuring each piece meets quality and design specifications.

• Upholster commercial furniture including seating, panels, and modular components
• Cut, sew, and fit fabrics, leather, and other materials
• Prepare frames, padding, foams, and fillings
• Interpret drawings and upholstery specifications
• Ensure high-quality finishes and consistency across products
• Use hand tools, sewing machines, and upholstery equipment safely
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace
• Work collaboratively with designers, makers, and production staff

• Previous experience in furniture upholstery or a related trade
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management and ability to meet production deadlines
• Experience working with commercial furniture (advantageous but not essential)
